Mom & Zoey sizing runs true to age for Indian kids aged 2 to 6. A 3-year-old at 100 cm and 15 kg wears size 3–4Y; at 96 cm, size 2–3Y. Because our organic cotton is cut for a relaxed, grow-into-it fit, most parents land on their child's true age size without guessing.

How the size finder works
The tool has two modes. In "For my kid", you pick gender, category and occasion, then set your child's height and weight on the sliders. We look up Mom & Zoey's four size charts — girls shirts, boys shirts, dresses and unisex bottoms — and return the size that matches, plus a confidence badge. Between sizes? We pick the safer one based on weight and tell you how many months of wear to expect.
In "As a gift", we ask for the recipient's age and build (small, average, or tall for age). If they're tall, we size up one bracket so the gift fits through the coming months rather than being outgrown straight away. You can also filter by occasion — wedding, party, birthday, everyday — and we'll surface gift-worthy picks that fit.

Why Mom & Zoey's fit is different
Our clothes are cut from GOTS-certified organic cotton and linen, and the patterns are designed for a relaxed, breathable fit suited to Indian body types and weather. Organic cotton has a natural stretch and recovery that synthetic fabric doesn't, so the same garment fits comfortably across a wider height range — which is why our size brackets span two years instead of one.
If your child sits at the top of a size bracket and you want longer wear, size up. If they sit at the bottom and you want a closer fit now, stay in the bracket. The finder above will flag either case with a confidence badge.

What size should I pick for my 3-year-old in Mom & Zoey clothing?
For an average 3-year-old around 100 cm and 15 kg, size 3–4Y is the right pick. If they're closer to 96 cm, pick 2–3Y; if they're closer to 104 cm, pick 4–5Y. Our size finder above does this calculation for you in 20 seconds and filters products to the recommended size.
Do Mom & Zoey clothes run true to age?
Yes. Our size brackets are built around real Indian height and weight averages for each age, so most parents land on their child's true age size without sizing up or down. The cut is intentionally relaxed for comfort and for a few months of growth room, but it's not oversized.
My kid is between two sizes — should I size up or size down?
Size up if you want 4–6 more months of wear or if your child is tall for their age. Stay in the lower bracket if you want a closer, more tailored fit now — especially useful for occasion wear like weddings. The size finder above tells you which side of a size bracket your child sits on and gives a recommendation based on weight.
What's the safest size when I'm buying as a gift?
Switch the tool to gift mode above and tell us the recipient's age and whether they're small, average, or tall for their age. For tall kids we size up one bracket so the gift fits through the coming months. For small or average kids we stay true to age, which is the safest default when you don't see the child often.
Does organic cotton shrink after washing?
GOTS-certified organic cotton shrinks less than conventional cotton because the fibres are cleaner and the finishing is gentler. Expect under 3% shrinkage on the first wash if you follow the care label (cold wash, line dry). We factor this into our size chart — the measurements account for post-wash dimensions, not pre-wash.
Are the clothes designed for Indian body types?
Yes. Our patterns are cut with Indian children's proportions in mind — our height and chest measurements reflect averages from Indian growth data, not imported US or EU body charts. This is why a 3-year-old in India consistently fits our 3–4Y size, even though the same child might need a larger size in an international brand.
What if the size doesn't fit when it arrives?
We accept exchanges for a different size within 7 days of delivery, as long as the item is unworn and tags are attached. Can I use the tool to shop for multiple categories at once?
